I have been married for over forty years, and I have spent more than thirty years in Christian ministry walking with couples. I will be honest with you, because I have needed honesty in my own marriage.

I won't tell you what you want to hear. I will help you understand what is really happening between you, take responsibility for your own part, and believe that your marriage can grow stronger. I bring biblical wisdom and proven relationship research together, and couples of every level of faith are welcome.

Struggling to afford it?

Good coaching should not depend only on who can pay. Programs can be paid in instalments, and each quarter a few places are funded by the Marriage Care Fund for couples facing real financial hardship.

Ask about the Care Fund when you get in touch. It is handled privately and with respect.

Freely shared

I keep sharing encouragement freely through talks and short teachings, because every marriage deserves it. Personal coaching is structured, focused work, and it is paid so that I can keep doing it well.

Is this therapy?

No. This is coaching. If your situation involves abuse, addiction or serious mental health concerns, I will help you find the right professional support.

Do we have to be Christians?

No. I bring my faith openly, but you will not be pressured or judged. Couples of every background and belief are welcome.

Can we meet online?

Yes. Every offer is available by video call anywhere in the world, or in person in Durban.

What if we need to reschedule?

Sessions can be moved with at least 24 hours' notice. Later cancellations are charged in full.

Do we both need to come?

For couple offers, ideally yes. If your partner is not ready, individual coaching is a good place to start. If you are single and thinking about marriage, Ready for Marriage is made for you.

Sign up: agreement and payment

Choose your offer, read and sign the coaching agreement, and you'll be taken straight to payment. It takes about five minutes.

This agreement is between you and Ivan Ronald of Aligned.4Love.

  1. What this is. Coaching helps you set goals and build skills as a couple. It is not therapy, medical care, legal advice or a crisis service.
  2. Safety. If there is abuse or a risk to anyone's safety, Ivan may pause joint sessions and refer you to suitable professional help.
  3. Confidentiality. What you share is private. Exceptions: a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, or where the law requires disclosure.
  4. Fees and payment. Fees are as shown for your chosen offer and are paid before the first session, or by the instalments you select. If you book an Initial Consultation (R99) and then go on to book a program, the R99 is deducted from the program price. When you pay, please use your name as your payment reference.
  5. Cancellations. Sessions can be moved with at least 24 hours' notice. Later cancellations, and missed sessions, are charged in full.
  6. Ending early. Sessions already held are not refundable. If you end a prepaid program early, unused sessions are refunded pro rata, based on the program price divided by its number of sessions.
  7. Online sessions. Please join from a private space with a stable connection. Sessions are never recorded without everyone's consent.
  8. Your information. Your details are used only to deliver your coaching and are handled in line with South Africa's POPIA.
  9. Commitment. Change takes effort from both of you. No particular outcome can be guaranteed.
  10. Faith. Ivan draws on biblical wisdom. Taking part in faith-based elements is always your choice.
